Diana Sakaris

DIANA SAKARIS

Managing & Artistic Director

Born in Sydney, Diana started dance classes at the age of four. She studied Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and National Dance at Joan and Monica Halliday’s Dance Art Centre, where she undertook all her dance training and completed all R.A.D. levels up to advanced and Jazz Examinations with Distinction.

Diana also completed an associate Diploma in Childcare Studies and Social Science where she blended her artistic talents with her love of teaching children.

Prior to founding Tempo Red Academy, Diana served as Head of the Babies and Tiny tots program at Brent Street Studios, as well as teaching across other genres and disciplines. Diana has over 20 years’ experience as a dance teacher and choreographer and is passionate about training her students to be versatile dancers in all styles of the performing arts with a strong foundation in ballet. Diana has recently implemented into her performing arts school the internationally acclaimed & award winning babyballet® pre-school dance program, for boys and girls 18months to 4 years. It’s the perfect start for Tempo Red’s youngest dancers to begin their dance journey by experiencing the magic of babyballet and igniting their passion for dance.

In 2022 Diana launched the unique circus programs Little Monkeys & Dance Cirque which brought much excitement and buzz through the studios and has left the students wanting more as they learn the art of circus with apparatus such as the silks, lyra and soon the trapeze!

Shae McDougall

Private Voice, Hip Hop, &Acrobatics

Born on the Northern Beaches, Shae started dance at the age of 5 and danced throughout her school years at Tempo Red. While Shae studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Drama, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Acrobatics, her true passion was in the Urban Hip Hop, Break dance field and Singing.

Her friendly and bubbly personality, along with her connection to Tempo Red and love for the performing arts, made her a natural candidate as our Studio Coordinator. Shae has a Bachelor of Music and Sound Design, Certificate IV in Entertainment and has complete multiple courses under Cheryl Porter the World’s No.1 Vocal Coach.

We are thrilled Shae is part of our team and teaching private voice.

Deborah Patience

RAD Ballet (Registered Teacher), Progressing Ballet Technique & Body Conditioning

Deborah studied RAD ballet and ISTD National Character as a child with Dalvern Thom and then went on to continue her studies full time with Joan and Monica Halliday, completing all levels including her RAD Advanced Certificate in ballet and achieving high level results and her ARAD status.

After travelling extensively and performing internationally, Deborah returned to her teaching career and completed her RAD teacher training qualification with Prudence Bowen and has been an active RAD registered teacher since 1992.

Chloe Taylor

Chloe Taylor completed her Certificate IV in Performing Arts and Dance. Chloe began training full-time whilst studying school via correspondence at 13 years old receiving numerous scholarships and under the guidance of many internationally recognised choreographers.

Since Graduating Chloe went on to train in Marko Panzics ‘Show Business’ course. And also signed with Sydney’s Jeep Management.

Chloe has trained under many well-known teachers including Rhapsody James, Jacquie Howard, Marko Panzic, Mathew Gode , Leah Howard, Euan Doige and many more.

Chloe began teaching at the age of 14. Assisting many top choreographers. Since then, she continues to teach at many studios and fulltime dance schools.

Chloe will be nurturing our littlest dances this year with our babyballet program. Her natural love of teaching children will bring lots of joy and magic to her classroom.

Katie Strugnell

Katie started dancing from the age of 5 years old and has fallen in love with the performing arts ever since. Growing up on the Northern Beaches, Katie has trained at multiple local dance studios throughout her school years, receiving extensive training in all styles.

She found her love for teaching during her senior year of high school, as she taught and helped the school’s dance ensemble as Performing Arts Captain.

Katie loves teaching preschool age dancers and finds so much joy in nurturing their first steps and is looking forward to providing her babyballet stars with a magical experience at each class.

Recently, Katie has graduated from Ed5International full time receiving an advanced Diploma in Performing Arts and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and love for the arts with our students at Tempo Red.

Georgia Tindall

Jazz, lyrical, Drama, On Camera Acting & Musical Theatre – Youth Company Program 

Starting at the age of 4, she developed a strong passion for all things Dance.

After completing high school at Brigidine College St Ives where she was awarded Dance Captain in Year 12, Georgia studied Full Time dance at Brent Street in 2021 receiving a Diploma in Performing Arts.

From there, Georgia completed an online mentorship throughout Covid lockdown with AAFTA Dance International Los Angeles. Learning from some of LA’s top performers and choreographers was a truly inspirational contribution to her dance journey.

In early 2022, Georgia joined The Dream Dance Company’s Show Business program led by renowned choreographer Marko Panzic. As well as being given the opportunity to showcase her choreography on stage, this also enabled further development of Georgia’s strong interest for creating her own work.

In August of 2022 she moved to New York City to train in Broadway Dance Centre’s Professional Semester program. Georgia gained knowledge and inspiration from a variety of leading New York choreographers.

Georgia looks forward to sharing her passion for Jazz and Musical theatre with the students of Tempo Red.

Reid Perry

Reid Perry

 Tap – Teen /Senior Youth Company Program 

Reid began dancing from a young age at Tap Pups under Dein Perry. During his childhood years he performed at many lucrative events including the Lord Mayor’s New Years Eve Party at the Opera House in 2015, He also appeared on The Footy Show, at the re-opening of Luna Park, at the World Masters Games Opening ceremony and many more.

Reid was lucky enough to make his Tap Dogs debut in 2016 and has performed corporate events with the Tap Dogs all over Australia.

George Hoad

Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary & Junior Youth Company Program 

George has been training in the performing arts since a young age. However, he found his love for dance later in life at age 14, he then trained pre-professionally at Village Nation College from 15 years old, completing his Cert IV in Dance in 2020. Recently, he has graduated from Village Nation Fulltime in 2022, completing his Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management.

George has previously worked as a commercial dancer in Brisbane and Singapore, has been a featured dancer on the Delta Goodrem Christmas Special and has been an assistant to the choreographer for Samantha Jade.

George is looking forward to exploring his passion for teaching and is excited to be joining the Tempo Red team.
