R.A.D Ballet

Learn Classical Ballet from our qualified ‘Royal Academy of Dance’ teachers. Classical Ballet requires students to have discipline and be focused on the task that is presented to them. Ballet is the technical foundation needed for all dance genres. It develops beautiful alignment, grace and technique whilst increasing flexibility, core strength, spatial awareness, musicality, and performance qualities.

The Junior Ballet classes focuses on bar work and centre practise with the use of props and storytelling with an element of fun to keep our younger students engaged and develop a real love for ballet.

The Vocational Senior Grades are based more on ability and experience than age. For the dedicated ballet student wanting to take their ballet to a pre professional level, will require to take extra classes in pointe, repertoire and PBT to develop and achieve their personal best. Our ballet students sit their exams yearly and all ballet students are invited to join our end of year concert.

Just wanted to say how much fun Annabelle had at baby ballet today. We enjoyed the online classes- but being back at the studio brought her so much joy... we were up at 4:30 ready to go to the studio with the big girls ? Congratulations on reopening and doing everything to keep us connected during the forced shut down period.

The school runs workshops across all styles of dance and musical theatre. Students and other dancers from around the area are given exciting opportunities to expand their knowledge of dance and express their creativity outside of regular classes. The director Diana Sakaris is highly experienced in dance and teaching, creating a professional yet supportive and fun environment for all teachers and students. Miss Di’s warm and loving nature means the studios are more than just a school but a second home where students can be nurtured while they grow as people, as well as artists.

My daughter Jessie loves putting on her favourite tutu each week, singing and dancing around with Twinkle in her babyballet class. The lessons are lots of fun and she loves the mix of ballet and tap. The classes are wonderfully supportive, talented teachers and gives us a lovely opportunity to meet new mums and the kids meet new friends!

My daughter has only been at Tempo Red for two terms but in that time her dance skill and ability has grown exponentially as has her self-confidence. This is due to the passionate, professional staff, very talented, experienced teachers and a culture that fosters support and encouragement between the kids. From day one the girls in Zivas’ class took her under their wing and welcomed her.

RAD Ballet Classes in the Northern Beaches

If you’re looking to enrol in a classic ballet class where you can further nurture your talent in performance dance, you’re in the right place. At Tempo Red, we have two kinds of classical ballet classes:

The Junior Ballet

This class focuses on bar work and centre practice with the use of props and storytelling. Through this technique, our professional instructor is able to add an element of fun to the class and keep our younger students engaged. This, in turn, allows them to develop a real love for ballet.

The Vocational Senior Grades

Based more on ability and experience than age, this class is designed for dedicated ballet students who want to take their ballet to a pre-professional level.

The goal of this class is to encourage students to take extra classes in pointe, repertoire, and PBT to develop and achieve their personal best. Our ballet students sit their exams yearly, and all ballet students are invited to join our end-of-year concert.
